I think you will love this well balanced, medium roast coffee and it's natural hints of chocolate and cinnamon as much as I do! When you begin to look for the highest quality coffee beans in Mexico, you will find they generally come from the Chiapas regions. The forested mountains with their rich volcanic soils are perfect conditions for Arabica plants to thrive. Coffee produced from this region is called Altura, which means “high grown”. When it comes to coffee production, higher elevations generally means better beans. This is important because the cooler temperatures and less oxygen causes the plants to grow more slowly which produces a more dense, rich bean with more concentrated flavors. Once harvested these European Preparation (EP) Certified beans are meticulously hand sorted based on size, density and defects, ensuring uniformity and consistency in the final product. EP certified coffee bans are prized for their exceptional quality and uniformity, making them highly sought after in the specialty coffee market. You'll be able to taste the care taken to make sure you receive only the highest quality coffee beans that Mexico has to offer.
