Specialty Grade Coffee | Small Batch Roasted| Delivered Fresh

Why I started A Beautiful Bean

Like a lot of people, I love my morning coffee. It’s more than just a drink—it’s a moment to pause, reset, and start fresh. But for years, I found myself doctoring up every cup with way too much creamer just to make it taste halfway decent.

I kept thinking: Why is it so hard to find coffee that actually tastes good on its own? Coffee that’s smooth, rich, and full of flavor—without the bitterness, the burnt taste, or the need to cover it up.

So I started learning everything I could about what makes coffee truly great and that's when I discovered that the best coffee starts at the source—with specialty-grade beans grown at high elevations, harvested with care, and roasted fresh in small batches.

That’s when A Beautiful Bean was born.

I wanted to share coffee that’s clean, delicious, and genuinely worth waking up for—coffee you’ll look forward to every morning. Coffee that you can still add creamer to, but only because you want to and not because you have to. Coffee that is so high quality that it doesn't need to be over-roasted and burnt to cover up the defects in the coffee beans. Coffee that’s as beautiful as I want your morning to be.

Welcome to A Beautiful Bean. I’m so glad you’re here.

Where did the name "A Beautiful Bean" Come From?

I was brain storming and trying to come up with ideas for names and I came across this old parable. I had never heard it before, but the concept really hit me hit me and I realized just how amazing a little coffee bean is.

Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

One day, a young woman went into her mothers kitchen, overwhelmed by life’s struggles she didn’t know how to keep going and wanted to give up. Her Mother placed three pots of water on the stove. Once the water was boiling, she put a carrot in one, an egg in another, and coffee beans in the third.

After some time, she took them out and asked her daughter what she saw:

  • The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting.  However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.
  • The egg, once fragile with a soft center, in the harsh conditions of the boiling water had become hardened inside.
  • But the coffee beans? They had transformed the water itself into something rich, aromatic, and completely wonderful.
  • Her mother smiled and said, "Life’s challenges are like boiling water. You can let them weaken you like the carrot, harden you like the egg, or you can be like the coffee bean—transforming the situation around you into something better."

Be a Beautiful Bean

At A Beautiful Bean, we believe in the power of transformation. Just like coffee beans release their best flavors under heat and pressure, life’s struggles can bring out the best in you and show your true strength—if you choose to let them.

When faced with challenges, don’t break down. Don’t let the harshness of the world make you hardened and bitter. Instead, be A Beautiful Bean—infuse the world with your strength, resilience, and something truly extraordinary.

  • All are amazing!

I love that with the coffee sampler I can try the best selling single origins and the best blends before committing to a whole bag! It is hard to choose a favorite, but Bali Blue is my favorite dark roast and for a medium I am partial to the Mexico Altura. I love the cowboy blend as well! -Sara

  • Mexico Altura: BEST coffee in the world!

This is a wonderfully medium flavored coffee, bold but not bitter. It is a smooth, full-flavored coffee that hints at chocolate and cinnamon. This is my new favorite coffee. 5 stars, hands down, amazing. - Brandy

  • I love this coffee!

It's so fresh, the flavor is full and the customer service is amazing! The only downside is that it ruins you for any kind of cheap, store brand coffee. Try it, you will not be disappointed! I use the whole bean Honduran, although I have tried every flavor and like them all.
