This is one of our most cherished and unique specialty coffee beans, and also one of the strongest! Grown in the volcanic soils of Mount Agung in the Kintamani Highlands on the Island of Bali Indonesia, these rare bean actually have a slightly blue color before they are roasted! This coffee is grown at 4,000- 5,200ft, and are grown in between rows of oranges and tangerines trees, which many people believe is why they seem to pick up a touch more sweetness and acidity than most Indonesian varieties. The shade from these trees, combined with the altitude they are grown at results in a slower maturing bean, that is more dense. Higher density beans develop more flavor, are of higher quality and are generally better tasting. The irrigation system the family farmers use for these beans was designed more than 1,000 years ago by Hindu priest's.

While we recommend buying whole beans and grinding them right before you brew, we offer several different grind sizes and are happy to do the grinding for you.
