August Coffee of the Month:
Honduras: Honey Processed Finca Liquidambar
Our August Coffee of the Month is an exceptional organic honey-processed micro-lot from Finca Liquidámbar, a 37-acre family farm nestled in the mountains of La Paz, Honduras. Honey processing leaves a portion of the coffee cherry's natural sugars on the bean during drying, creating a cup with remarkable sweetness, a silky body, and vibrant fruit character. You'll enjoy rich notes of brown sugar, juicy nectarine and peach, finished with a smooth hint of toasted coconut.
This coffee is produced by Roberto Rene González, who returned to his hometown after earning a degree in business management to help lead both his family's farm and the RAOS Organic Coffee Cooperative. In addition to producing outstanding specialty coffee, Roberto is dedicated to strengthening his community through local employment, youth programs, road improvements, and a conservation project to establish nearly half of his farm as a biological reserve. Every cup supports a farmer who is investing not only in exceptional coffee, but in the future of his community and the land he calls home.
